Type Pairings in Love
Pick your type and wing, then your partner's (or crush's — we won't tell), and get the pairing's compatibility score, what sparks it, where it grinds, and how it grows. Wings shift the chemistry, and so do instincts — shared dominant instincts often predict day-to-day compatibility better than type does.
Read this first: compatibility scores describe the default friction-and-complement pattern between two type structures at average health. They are not destiny. Two healthy people of the "worst" pairing will beat two unhealthy people of the "best" one, every time — health level, instinct stackings, and plain effort dominate type math.

What actually predicts a good relationship
Health level
Every type has healthy, average, and unhealthy versions. A healthy Eight is a devoted protector; an unhealthy one is a tyrant. The number matters less than the altitude.
The arrows
Partners who sit on each other's growth or stress lines get a built-in curriculum: they constantly model what the other most needs to develop — or most needs to avoid.
Knowing the pattern
The real gift of typing a relationship isn't the score — it's knowing in advance which fight you'll keep having, and that it's a pattern, not a verdict on the person.
Disclaimer: pairing scores are heuristics from enneagram tradition, not research findings. No personality framework can score two real humans. Use this page for insight into recurring dynamics, not for decisions about real relationships.
